KEC International Secures Rs 845 Crore Orders In Railways Infrastructure

It said it has won Rs 845-crore orders for construction works in regional rapid transit system and metro sectors.

Infrastructure company KEC International Ltd. said it has won Rs 845-crore orders for construction works in regional rapid transit system and metro sectors.

The RPG group company said it has secured a Rs 580 crore order for construction of elevated viaduct and stations of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System corridor from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation.

In the metro space, the company said it has secured Rs 265-crore order for construction of viaduct along with stations for the phase-1 extension of Kochi metro rail project, from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.

Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, KEC International Ltd., said: "We are delighted with the order wins in the RRTS and metro sectors, which are in line with our strategy for expanding our Railway presence."

He added: "These orders mark our entry into the urban transport sector and further expands our client portfolio. This foray will also help us in building a robust executable order book, thus enabling us to scale up the business and achieve the desired growth plans."

KEC International has presence in the verticals of power transmission and distribution, railways, solar, civil, smart infrastructure and cables.
