Reliance Jio Announces New ‘All In One’ Prepaid Plans That Are 40% Costlier

Reliance Jio users will get up to 300% more benefits under the new prepaid plans with a fair usage policy for outgoing calls.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. said it will launch new unlimited prepaid plans from Dec. 6, which will raise its voice and data tariff by up to 40 percent. Vodafone Idea and Airtel too have announced new prepaid plans that are effective Dec. 3.

The Mukesh Ambani-led company said that customers will get up to 300 percent more benefits under the new prepaid plans and it will offer fair usage policy for outgoing calls to rival telecom networks.

"Jio will be introducing new all-in-one plans with unlimited voice and data. These plans will have a fair usage policy for calls to other mobile networks. The new plans will be effective from 6th December 2019," the company said in a statement.

Reliance Jio said it will continue to work with the government on consultation process for revision of telecom tariffs and that it looks forward to participation from all other stakeholders.
