Drinking Water Contamination Level At Its Lowest In Mumbai

The presence of E. coli bacteria was less than 1% in the samples collected since December 2018, says BMC.

Water contamination is at its lowest in Mumbai, according to recent samples tested by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

The presence of E. coli bacteria, according to the city’s municipal body, was less than 1 percent in the samples collected since December 2018. In March 2019, the number stood at 0.7 percent compared to World Health Organisation’s 5 percent permissible limit.
