Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. co-founder Francisco D’Souza has quit the board of the software services exporter less than a year after he stepped aside from the chief executive officer role.
D’Souza will leave the board from March 31, according to a media statement. D’Souza co-founded Cognizant in 1994 and served as the company’s CEO from January 2007 through March 2019. He also served as president from 2007 to 2012 and has been serving as vice-chairman of the board since last April.
Brian Humphries had replaced D’Souza as CEO in March last year.

Vinita Bali, former managing director and CEO of Britannia Industries Ltd., has been appointed to the board as an independent director with effect from Feb. 24.
