Whirlpool Confident Of Double-Digit Growth Despite Headwinds

Whirlpool India’s “battle hardened team” can handle volatility, says the company’s managing director.

Refrigerator and air conditioner manufacturer Whirlpool Of India Ltd. is confident of that it will it grow in double digits ahead of the industry average. That’s despite low sales due to early onset of the monsoon season and volatile forex and commodity markets.

“Whirlpool India is a battled hardened team and we are used to tackling volatility over years,” Sunil D’Souza, managing director of the company told BloombergQuint. The company has ramped up execution and both portfolio and geographic expansion plans are on track, he added.
