Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. continues to undercut rivals.

It will offer more data on its existing tariff plans to counter Bharti Airtel Ltd.’s pricing, Mukesh Ambani’s telecom arm said in a statement. Subscribers can avail the scheme till June 30.

No information on Bharti Airtel’s offer mentioned by Reliance Jio was available on the website of India’s largest operator. BloombergQuint awaits a response to queries emailed to Bharti Airtel.

Reliance Jio will offer 1.5 gigabytes of additional data at the existing price to users who avail the scheme. That reduces the effective cost per GB by 33-50 percent for customers but keeps average revenue per user intact.

Reliance Jio Adds Most Subscribers In March Even As Rivals Close In

Increased limits mean Reliance Jio now offers 105 GB of data per month, which is nearly 11 times the average monthly data consumption of a Reliance Jio user. The tariff war triggered by the upstart has pushed up data consumption in India, besides hurting profits of rivals and driving consolidation.
