Room Addition Better Than Expansion To Cater High Demand, Kamat Hotels Says

Year-round occupancy levels will help the hotel industry, said Vishal Kamat, director of Kamat Hotels.

Hotels in India are unlikely to opt for greenfield expansion to cater to the year-long demand that the sector is witnessing, according to Vishal Kamat, director at Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd. Instead, they might engage in room addition in a “researched and structured manner”, Kamat told BloombergQuint in an interaction.
