Reliance Capital's chief investment strategist Madhusudan Kela has decided to move to a part-time advisory role as he plans to devote significant time with renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru.

He will now serve as director on the Reliance Securities board and also as advisor to the group. In a statement, Reliance Capital said Kela will move to this role from Saturday. He will provide broad guidance on equity markets to its broking and distribution business, the company added.

"Kela intends to devote a significant portion of his time on spiritual and philanthropic pursuits with the renowned Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation," the company said.

"Reliance Group is my family and my home and this association will last forever. I have no words to adequately express my gratitude to our chairman Anil Ambani, who has been my role model for his indomitable willpower, determination and self-discipline, and who has transformed my life, professionally and personally, over the past 15 years to heights that neither my family nor I could have even imagined when I joined the Group," Kela said.
