GST Could Be A Subject Of Study In U.S. Business Schools, Says Modi
Here’s what American CEOs said after meeting Prime Minister Modi...
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met chief executive officers of some of the biggest American companies in Washington D.C. on Sunday, including Apple Inc.’s Tim Cook, Microsoft Corp’s Satya Nadella and Google Inc.’s Sundar Pichai.
During the meeting with the 21 business leaders, Prime Minister reiterated his optimism for initiatives such as Make In India, Digital India and Goods And Services Tax. Confident of the July 1 GST implementation, Modi said it could become a subject of study in the U.S. business schools.
The Prime Minister said the partnership between the two countries is a win-win situation for both and the companies in the U.S. have a great opportunity to contribute to that. They could benefit from steps taken to cut red tape, he said. “7,000 reforms have been taken by the government of India for ease of doing business, minimum government and maximum governance.”
