L&T Construction Bags Orders Worth Rs 2,046 Crore

L&T’s construction arm scores multiple orders worth Rs 2,046 crore.

The construction arm of Larsen & Tubro Ltd. announced that it won orders worth Rs 2,046 crore across its power, civil infrastructure and construction verticals.

The company's power transmission and distribution business bagged a Rs 826 crore order for engineering, procurement and construction of rural electrification projects under the Integrated Power Development Scheme, the company said in an exchange filing. This includes placing transmission lines and "extra high voltage substations" across India, the company added.

L&T Construction’s heavy civil infrastructure division secured a Rs 675 crore order from the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation for the construction of elevated viaducts and stations.

The building and factories business won a residential project worth Rs 434 crore, while the transportation unit secured projects worth Rs 111 crore, the company added.

The L&T stock rose 0.46 percent to Rs 1,461 as of 10:45 a.m.
