Dilip Buildcon Bags Rs 2,845 Crore NHAI Order In UP

Dilip Buildcon’s Rs 2,845 crore road project will cut travel time between Varanasi and Lucknow.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Tuesday said it has awarded a Rs 2,845 crore project in Uttar Pradesh to Dilip Buildcon.

The NHAI has issued Letter of Award (LOA) for...four-laning of Lucknow-Sultanpur Section from kilometer 11.5 to kilometer 134.7 of NH-56 to Dilip Buildcon.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2,845 crore, it said.

The 127-km long stretch between Lucknow and Sultanpur transverses through important districts of state capital, neighboring Barabanki, Raebareli and Sultanpur. The project will have construction of 13 major bridges, one railway over bridge, 259 culverts, four vehicular underpasses, six cattle/pedestrian underpasses, 43 bus bays, two truck lay byes and 32 km long bypasses at Jagdishpur, Mushafirkhana, Aliganj and Shabaganj/Badaunkalan.

The project shall be executed on hybrid annuity mode and completed in 30 months from the date of commencement of the project

Development of the section would reduce the travel time from Lucknow to the holy city of Varanasi and promote tourism in the region.
