Coca-Cola India will shift its focus to the bottled juice segment while looking for more expansion opportunities.

The company’s ‘biggest’ focus right now is in juices and its bottled juice brand Minute Maid, South West Asia President of Coca-Cola India, Venkatesh Kini told BloombergQuint. It is also looking to introduce more flavours of Minute Maid by using locally sourced juice from the country’s farmers, he said on the sidelines of the India Retail Forum.

The company has set up five greenfield projects in the last three years and another five are in the pipeline for the next two years. The majority of these, Kini said, was to improve the manufacturing capacity for new products like Minute Maid, Maaza, and Fuze Ice Tea.

The company is on track with its plan to invest Rs 30,000 crore by 2020, that the company announced in 2012, Kini added.
