Century Ply First Quarter Net Profit up 7%, Margin Declines

Century Ply Reports 7% Profit Growth & 10% Revenue Growth in Q1

Century Plyboards India Ltd. registered 7.3 percent increase in net profit to Rs 43 crore in the April-June quarter, from Rs 40.1 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue grew 10 percent to Rs 403.6 crore compared to Rs 366.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to the company’s filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation stood at Rs 68.3 crore, increasing 1.8 percent to over the year. EBITDA margins fell to 16.8 percent in the June quarter from 18.1 percent in the same quarter last year.
