Powerful, yet sustainable. Dynamic, yet eco-friendly. And it’s finally here. The newly revealed Audi e-tron range from the leading German marque's electric SUV line is the first of a slew of state-of-the-art electric vehicles (EVs) debuting in India.

The new, all-electric Audi e-tron range offers a powerful driving experience and self-determined mobility, and that is no coincidence with these next-gen SUVs—the Audi e-tron 50, the Audi e-tron 55 and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55. They all feature engineering packages with Audi’s iconic quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system, intelligent technology, advanced charging capabilities and more. While the Audi e-tron 50 and the Audi e-tron 55 showcases a presence-forward SUV body style, the e-tron Sportback 55 flaunts an aerodynamic, curvaceous coupe-like rear roofline.

e-tron: A sign of things to come

A peek into the new Audi e-tron will pleasantly surprise even the most demanding automobile enthusiast. It’s incredible what Audi has made possible: a revolutionary, futuristic, green yet uniquely powerful Audi electric powertrain, platinum grey single-frame grille and taillights, era-defining aesthetics, four horizontal struts integrated into digital matrix LED headlights, dynamic design, minimal energy consumption and a 31.24-cm, fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit that displays all information relevant to the driver, and more.

As with any EV, range and performance boil down to the battery. That’s where Audi’s unique engineering once again shines bright. When plugged into a fast charger, the liquid-cooled, lithium-ion unit recharges to 80% in a mere 30 minutes. Under the hood, the Audi e-tron 55 and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 generate 300 kW of maximum power and 664 Nm of maximum torque from its 95kWh battery with a massive range of 359 to 484 km. The Audi e-tron 50 puts out 230 kW of maximum power and 540 Nm of maximum torque from its 71kWh battery with a range of 264 to 379 km.

Other nods to the famed German automaker's renowned dynamic artistry are adaptive air suspension, progressive steering, 4-zone climate control, comfort key with gesture-based lid operation, a Bang & Olufsen premium in-car sound system and Digital Matrix LED headlamps with Animated Projection.

Audi offers charging infrastructure through its myAudi Connect app that features a ‘chargers near me' option. The app also provides inbuilt tools such as savings calculators, range and charging time calculators, to estimate charging time and cost. For branded merchandise and wall chargers, there’s the Audi Shop.

Buying smart is only the start

In its endeavour to make the Audi e-tron ownership not just about the pleasure of performance driving but also smart, holistic living, Audi has tempting propositions and benefits. There are bespoke ownership packages and a choice of service plans ranging from two to five years.

Buyers get a standard warranty of two years. There's the high voltage battery warranty of eight years or 160,000 km, whichever comes earlier. Audi also offers an extended warranty for 2+2 years or 2+3 years and a comprehensive service plan for four years or five years. If you select the extended service plan, you get coverage for the cost of service, periodic brake maintenance, suspension and extended warranty.

You can also opt for Audi’s best-in-class buyback programme that offers an attractive buyback price after three years from the date of purchase, which makes a lot of sense when you want to upgrade to the latest Audi e-tron model.

And there's more. Audi also offers complimentary five-year, 24x7 roadside assistance from Audi-certified, company-trained technicians via the myAudi Connect app.

The models are also competitively priced: The Audi e-tron 50 comes for Rs 99,99,000, the Audi e-tron 55 is available for Rs 1,16,15,000 and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 is priced at Rs 1,17,66,000 (all prices ex-showroom).

Future is an attitude

Bringing its worldwide marketing activities under a single umbrella, Audi's communication approach—future is an attitude—delves into cultural and country-specific demands to introduce cars for a new automotive age. The legendary auto marque will use this new identity to accentuate its focus and commitment towards creating inspirational, premium, and sustainable mobility solutions for the world.

The suite of the Audi e-tron SUVs in India is the first of many that will showcase Audi moving away from fossil fuels toward a greener, more sustainable future, but without doing away with the power and luxuries the brand is renowned for. Audi is making an ambitious play in India—to maximise the potential of its electric vehicles in terms of range, scale, space, and dynamics to meet the needs of a range of different Indian customers and driving profiles.

Audi's green goals and social conscience pointing to a new, greener, electric-driven future will win big as it continues to keep the planet at its core.

The all-new Audi e-tron and Audi e-tron Sportback can be experienced in Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) or at any Audi dealership. To know more or figure out which e-tron is the one for you, visit www.audi.in or your nearest Audi dealership.
