Edited excerpts from the conversation

Neetesh Dohare: Could you please provide a fundamental view on SBI Life Insurance, for a two-three year holding period? And, at the current price, is it the right time to add more?

Parthiv Shah: I would recommend one to hold on to the stock. If you are incurring a loss of any kind, do not panic and sell. I would suggest one to invest the additional money into HDFC Life instead.

Nikhil Gandhe: I bought shares of MCX at Rs 790 apiece with a one month view. Should I hold or sell ? Is it the right time to enter Bharti Airtel for short term?

Amar Singh: MCX has a strong support at Rs 720. There is a possibility of a bounce-back. One should exit the stock whenever they get the right opportunity.

One can invest in Bharti Airtel with a stop-loss of Rs 340.

Vivek Kanojia: Is it the right time to add Petronet LNG for long term?

Parthiv Shah: This is a good time to add to your position in the stock and wait for at least three years.

Ujjwal Kumar: Can I invest in Hero MotoCorp at current levels or should I wait for more corrections? I have a time horizon of one to two years.

Parthiv Shah: With a two-three-year view, I would recommend one to invest in the stock and make a fresh entry, if one can. This is a good entry opportunity. Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp are the stocks that have given great returns.

Asad Hamid Khan: I am currently making a loss of Rs 2 lakh on my shares in Precision Wires. What should I do?

Amar Singh: This long-term trend is bullish but the short-term trend is bearish. Watch out for the Rs 240-245 level. If the stock crosses this level, one can expect good growth.

Ayush Jain: I have bought 7,000 shares of LIC Housing Finance at an average rate of Rs 611 apiece with a long-term perspective. What should I do?

Parthiv Shah: Now is not a good time to exit this stock. I would recommend one to average it if they have a longer time horizon of at least three years.

Subham Garg: I have bought 25,000 shares of Federal Bank at an average rate of Rs 102 apiece with a long-term horizon. What should I do?

Parthiv Shah: This stock will deliver good return-ratios. I would recommend one to hold on to the stock and give it at least three years.

Praneet Kumar: What is your view on LEEL Electrical Ltd? I am planning to invest in this stock. .What is right price to enter?

Parthiv Shah: There are better options in the hardware manufacturing sector than this stock. I would rather suggest one to invest in Dixon Tech.

Mohan Rangdal: I have bought 10 shares in Venky’s at Rs 2,384 apiece. What should I do with a long-term view?

Parthiv Shah: I would recommend one to book losses and exit the stock at current levels.

Navin: I am currently holding 200 shares of National Fertilizers Ltd. at Rs 70 apiece. Should I average, hold or sell? I have also invested in IDFC at Rs 66 apiece, with a long-term view. What should I do?

Parthiv Shah: There are better fertiliser companies like Deepak Fertilizers and Coromandel. I would recommend one to invest in these two stocks instead.

IDFC will take a while until it recovers from its losses. I would recommend one to exit this stock.

Girish: I currently own 350 shares of Bharat Forge at Rs 715 apiece. Should I book losses, average or hold?

Amar Singh: I would recommend one to hold on to the stock. The stock may have a bounce-back.

Analysts’ Disclosure:

Parthiv Shah and Amar Singh may have recommended some of the stocks discussed in the show to their clients.
