Voltas remains a market leader in room air conditioner segment and mass-premium positioning will be maintained going forward. The management highlighted that weakness in the electromechanical projects segment is largely due to monsoon and ordering will improve going forward.
It is still contemplating further price hikes as demand has slowed down after the festival season.
Volt-Bek is gradually expanding its footprints and focusing on indigenisation of key products like frost free refrigerators.
The production linked incentive scheme will change the dynamics of the industry as Voltas is also considering manufacture if compressors in India.
