Wipro Ltd. signed an agreement to fully acquire Capco, a global financial services consulting company, for $1.45 billion in all cash deal.
Capco (rev of $720 million) with its’ deep domain expertise brings significant to Wipro by adding consulting capabilities to Wipro’s banking financial services and insurance vertical taking its BFSI footprint to $3.2 billion (34% of rev for Combined entity).
Capco also adds access to the C-suite across several pre-eminent financial companies and adds 30 strong BFSI (new) clients to Wipro’s roster.
We believe cross selling capabilities and consulting+IT+operations go-to-market strategy for proactive wins are the two key synergistic gains from this acquisition.
