On December 16, 2020, the Union Cabinet approved the auction of the 700 megahertz, 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHZ, 2300MHz, and 2500MHz spectrum bands for a validity of 20 years.
The auction process may start by the last week of January 2021 (notice Inviting applications may be rolled out this month).
As a result, the auction could happen before March 2021, in line with our expectation.
In the upcoming auction, total spectrum of 2251.25MHz would be auctioned with a steep valuation of Rs 3.9 trillion.
