RBI’s Monetary Policy Review - Focus On Managing Liquidity: KRChoksey

The Reserve Bank of India maintained status quo on the rate and stance unanimously. The repo remains at 4% and stance at accommodative.

The central bank re-emphasized the intention to maintain the stability of the yield curve, sufficient liquidity and orderly changes in rates. It has laid out the purchase program in advance for the first time.

The inflation forecast has been largely maintained for the next year. Growth and normalcy remains a priority.

The central bank has expanded the scope of non-bank entities in payment to further financial inclusion.
