ICICI Securities Report
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) price uptrend continues with another hike of Rs 4/kilogram, or 3.4%, with-effect-from January 01, 2021.
This is the seventh price hike in PVC in Q3 FY21 (up Rs 30/kg or 33%) after an increase of Rs 14.5/kg, or 18.9%, in Q2 FY21.
The rally, which started with sharp spurt in May-June 2020, has now extended into Q3 FY21 as well.
PVC prices, which are now at Rs 121.3/kg, have risen 85% since May 01, 2020. The surge has been largely led by sustained supply-side issues globally.
