Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd. became the sixth largest cement company (capacity 23.8 million tonnes per annum) in India in last five years through inorganically - two acquisitions in the east
Lafarge Cement (India) in 2016 and
(NU Vista (earlier Emami Cement Ltd.) in 2020.
With this, it consolidated its leadership position in the east by becoming top-three cement players.
Its sizable retail presence in the high-growth east region helped to improve operating margin in FY20 and FY21 versus FY19.
Nuvoco Vistas posted up 13.1% YoY revenue to Rs 20.2 billion led by up 4.7% realisation to Rs 4,836/tonne coupled with up 2.5% volume to 3.8 million tonne.
