Nirmal Bang: India’s Economic Recovery On Track But Long Way To Go; Virus May Be Near Peak

In the second fortnight of September, economic recovery sustained and news flow turned incrementally positive.

Despite the news flow about increasing virus cases, active cases were actually down 5% as on Sept. 30 from the previous fortnight, suggesting that we may be near the peak.

The number of deaths during the fortnight was only marginally higher from the previous fortnight, unlike the exponential increase seen in the early days.
