We track coffee trade and pricing data on a monthly basis for Brazil, India, Vietnam and Colombia, which together form approximately 63% of the world’s coffee exports in volume terms and have approximately 55% share in the world soluble coffee exports volume.
While the underlying demand trend remains unaffected by Covid-19, coffee producing countries like Brazil and India are facing supply-related challenges.
In India, key coffee companies are facing container availability issues. Also, due to rising number of Covid cases, capacities have not been utilised to the maximum extent possible.
While Vietnam is doing well so far, we are closely tracking the latest restrictions on international flights and quarantine measures.
