Net flows turned negative, coming in at Rs 44 billion for December 2021, post two consecutive months of positive inflows.
Industry flows stand at Rs 2.5 trillion in FY22 year-to-date (versus Rs 2.8 trillion in FY21 year-to-date), driven by strong inflows in equity (Rs 916 billion), hybrid (Rs 894 billion), and other schemes (Rs 940 billion). Debt schemes have reported outflows of Rs 629 billion in FY22 year-to-date.
The number of folio additions remained strong at 3.2 million, driven by equity, hybrid, and other schemes. Debt funds saw a reduction in the folio count.
Systematic investment plan flows reached new highs of Rs 113 billion, indicating growth of 34% YoY and 3% month-on-month. SIP accounts opened up during the month stood at ~1.3 million.
