Motilal Oswal Report

Voltas Ltd.’s Q2 FY21 earnings were 37% better than our expectation, largely led by better-than-expected execution in the electro-mechanical projects segment and higher margins in the unitary cooling products segment.

The company has sustained its number one position in room air conditioners and further improved its market share to 26.8% in August 2020 (year-to-date 26.4%).

Inventory level with the company stood at approximately 110 days, which is higher than normal, but should normalise by December 2020-January 2021.
