Motilal Oswal: Axis Bank’s Q2 Collection Efficiency Recovers Sharply; Credit Cost Set To Moderate

Axis Bank Ltd. reported a steady quarter, led by strong growth, healthy retail fee traction, and controlled opex.

On the business front, loan growth picked up, led by higher disbursements in the small and medium enterprise portfolio under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee scheme.

Retail growth also showed signs of improvement.

The bank made additional provisions of Rs 31.4 billion toward loans under moratorium and potential restructuring, which took cumulative additional provisions to approximately 1.9% of loans.
