ICICI Securities Report
In its final findings with-respect-to. case no. SSR 05/2020, the Director General of Trade Remedies on January 08, 2021 recommended a continuation of definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of medium density fibre having thickness of 6 millimeter or more originating in or exported from Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka for a further period of five years.
The sunset review (vide notification no. 48/2015 dated October 21, 2015) has thus been defended successfully by the domestic industry, which now needs to be ratified by the finance ministry.
