Weekly average daily fliers came in at 264,000 in the week ended March 06, 2021 versus 285,000 in the week ended February 27, 2021.
The count increased from 38,000 to 264,000 in the first 39 weeks post the resumption of domestic air travel with-effect-from May 25, 2020.
For the week ended March 06, 2021, average number of departures per day declined marginally to 2,338 vis-a-vis 2,341 in the week ended Feb 27, 2021.
The number of fliers per departure declined to 113 in the week ended March 06, 2021 versus 122 in the week ended Feb 27, 2021.
With rising Covid-19 cases in the past few weeks in India, possibility of another lockdown has increased, which is a threat to air traffic.
