ICICI Securities Report

Equity cash volumes witnessed month-on-month decline of 18% (BSE plus NSE) in November 2021. This, in our view, could possibly be attributed to increased initial public offering subscriptions (higher issue sizes, and IPO subscription of Rs 10 trillion versus issuance of Rs 361 billion in the month).

Average monthly equity cash turnover (NSE+BSE) between April-October 2021 was Rs 15.7 trillion while in Nov-2021 it dipped to 14.4 trillion.

However, equity options segment managed to sustain its month-on-month growth.

BSE Ltd. has maintained its market share in equity derivatives and mutual fund transactions.
