Exchange volumes in October 2021 improved sequentially in all segments.
Cash average daily turnover for NSE / BSE grew 19% / 9% month-on-month, respectively.
NSE equity derivatives’ ADTV was up 2% month-on-month. Mutual fund transactions grew 5.5% / 1% month-on-month for BSE / NSE.
In currency derivatives, NSE/BSE reported growth of 29%/7% month-on-month.
Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. ADTV stood at Rs 293 billion in Oct-21 versus Rs 256 billion in September 2021.
MCX option ADTV continued its strong momentum by growing 9% month-on-month led by strong growth in crude.
National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd. has reported ADTV of Rs 18 billion, up 1% month-on-month, in Oct-21.
Depositories added 3.6 million demat accounts in Oct-21 versus 2.8 million added in Sep-21.
In Oct-21, Central Depository Services Ltd. added 3.14 million (versus 2.4 million in Sep-21) and National Securities Depository Ltd. added 0.45 million (versus 0.46 million in Sep-21).
