Private players’ Individual weighted received premium grew 23% YoY in October 2021 versus a 12.6% growth for the industry.
In FY22 year-to-date, private players’ Individual WRP grew 30.4% YoY (two-year CAGR of up 9.6%) versus 18.4% for the industry.
Among listed players, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. posted a strong growth in Oct-21. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. grew 23% YoY versus a decline of 22% in October 2020.
HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. grew by ~21% YoY. Max Life posted a muted growth of 0.3% YoY.
Life Insurance Corporation of India reported a decline of 2% YoY in Individual WRP.
