ICICI Securities Report

In India, workplace mobility data, after witnessing improvements in May June 2020, has started to worsen in July 2020 (probable reason being more widespread increase in Covid-19 cases).

Overall, the traffic rebound on an aggregate basis continued to remain weak (approximately 30%) as South and West regions continue to be most affected due to increased spread of the pandemic.

In terms of major metros, Delhi witnessed a healthy recovery in traffic movement as new Covid-19 cases have witnessed a downward trend, while Mumbai/Pune are recovering more modestly.

On a positive side since reopening, Google search queries on auto and vehicles has reached to similar to pre-covid-19 levels (indicating stabilising interest).
