Weekly average daily fliers came in at 38,000 / 60,000 / 68,000 / 66,000 / 65,000 / 68,000 / 66,000 / 65,000 / 69,000 / 75,000/ 79,000 / 86,000 / 92,000 / 100,000 / 124,000 in first / second / third /fourth/fifth/sixth /seventh / eighth / nineth / tenth /eleventh/ twelfth / thirteenth /fourteenth/fifteenth week respectively post the resumption of domestic air travel from May 25, 2020.
For the week ended September 06, 2020, number of fliers per departure improved to 107 compared to 90 in June 2020.
The weekly average number of departures/day stood at 1154 compared to 713 in the month of June 2020.
These are early trends and should improve going ahead at a rate that would depend upon the trajectory of Covid-19 impact.
As per the latest data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) for the month of July 20, number of passenger growth improved 6% month on month.
As on July 2020, Indigo’s market share stood at 60% versus 53% in June 2020.
