Weekly average daily fliers came in at 38,000 / 60,000 / 68,000 / 66,000 / 65,000 / 68,000 / 66,000 / 65,000 / 69,000 / 75,000/ 79,000 / 86,000 / 92,000 / 100,000 / 124,000 / 115,000 in first / second / third /fourth/fifth/sixth /seventh /eighth / nineth / tenth /eleventh/ twelfth / thirteenth /fourteenth /fifteenth /sixteenth week respectively post the resumption of domestic air travel from May 25, 2020.
For the week ended September 13, 2020, number of fliers per departure declined to 98 versus 107 in first week of September 2020 as weekly average number of departures/day increased to at 1173 compared to 1154 in first week of September 2020.
These are early trends and should improve going ahead at a rate that would depend upon the trajectory of Covid-19 impact.
As per the latest data from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) for the month of July 2020, number of passengers growth improved 6% month on month.
As on July 2020, Indigo’s market share stood at 60% versus 53% in June 2020.
