ICICI Securities: Indian Exchanges’ Volume Growth Continues Across Segments In November

In November 2020, cash volume was robust for National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, average daily turnover volume grew 60% and 30%, respectively.

NSE derivatives ADTV grew by a robust two times YoY in November 2020 lead by 115% YoY growth in options ADTV.

Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd.’s commodity ADTV ex-crude was up 63% YoY. Overall MCX ADTV was up 2% YoY in November 2020.

Crude futures saw a month-on-month increase of 17%.

Currency derivatives ADTV rose 14% YoY in November 2020 (NSE up 45% YoY and BSE down 28% YoY).
