ICICI Securities Report
Multi Commodity Exchange Ltd. reported an average daily trading volume of Rs 334 billion in first two weeks of October 2020, up 14% YoY and down 2% month-on-month.
This has been the second consecutive month-on-month decline.
On YoY basis, gold, silver, natural gas, copper ADTV grew 26%, 112%, 189%, 76% respectively YoY.
Crude ADTV declined 78% YoY. Ex-crude ADTV grew 72% YoY. Base metals growth turned positive after 23 months of negative growth, but the ‘turnaround’ was largely on account of weak base.
