ICICI Securities: India's Airline Passenger Traffic Soars To 133,000 Per Day

ICICI Securities Report

For the week ended Sept. 19, average number of departures/day increased sharply to 1,379 as compared to 1,173 in second week of September but number of fliers per departure remained steady at 97.

As per the latest data from Directorate General of Civil Aviation for the month of August, number of passenger grew 34% month on month to 2.83 million.

In August, all major airlines showed an improvement in passenger load factor, of which SpiceJet Ltd. reported highest PLF of 76%.

As on August, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd.'s market share remained steady at 59%.
