CARE Ratings Research Report

The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee will present its third bi-monthly monetary policy for 2021-22 on October, 08, 2021.

This policy comes in the backdrop of a steady, albeit gradual and at times uneven improvement in the domestic economic conditions and increased pace of vaccination that is boosting consumer sentiments and confidence.

At the same time, there is the looming spectre of rising global commodity prices that portends a surge in domestic inflation.

The rise in bond yields, subdued credit offtake, and ample liquidity in the banking system are other aspects that the MPC must contend with and address.
