Dolat Capital: Power Grid Delivers In-Line Q2, Maintains FY21 Capex, Capitalisation

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.’s Q1 revenues were largely in line, though profit after tax was ahead of estimates on higher surcharge and dividend income and lower interest costs.

It has done a capex of Rs 31 billion, while capitalisation was Rs 106 billion, during the quarter mainly due to Raipur Pugalur high voltage direct current line of Rs 95 billion getting capitalised.

It has maintained its guidance for a capex of Rs 105 billion and capitalisation of Rs 200-250 billion in FY21.
