Nifty gave a negative return of (1.2%) (up 0.26% in U.S.dollar term) during the month.
The biggest gainer in the index during the month was Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. with a return of 21.6% followed by HCL Technologies Ltd. with a return of 16.9%.
The biggest loser during the month was Bharti Airtel Ltd. with negative return of 18%, followed by IndusInd Bank Ltd. negative return of 16.3%.
For the quarter ending September 2020, Nifty gave a positive return of 1.6% QoQ (3.5% in U.S. dollar terms).
20 stocks outperformed the index and the rest 30 underperformed. Most of the stocks in the IT Services outperformed the Index.
Major stocks in the banking, financial services and insurance sector underperformed the index.
