Our channel checks across major Indian cities indicate that secondary sales in September 2021 have been muted.
We have noticed that project-related business has picked up and companies/brands have turned cautious in taking price hikes.
Since the vaccination drive has picked up, the festival season is expected to be very strong.
As per our channel feedback, customers have been in the saving mode for the past couple of quarters and this should unlock the pent-up demand during the festive season.
The air conditioner segment is having normal inventory levels and demand has largely been similar to last year’s level or has declined.
We have noticed an uptick in the business-to-business business in the AC category.
