Channel Checks On Gas Demand, CGD Trends: Nirmal Bang

Indian gas demand sustained growth across segments in October 2020.

According to Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell’s October 20 gas monthly, gas availability grew by 5.2% YoY to 166 million metric standard cubic meter per day.

Supply of domestic gas was down 9.7% YoY. Gas consumption was up 11.7% month-on-month at 160.55 mmscmd.

All segments, barring petchem (99% of normal) surpassed normal demand (based on January 2020 trend).
