Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. earnings were largely in-line.
Net interest income came in as expected though asset under management growth was lower at 2.6% YoY.
Net interest margin was protected as reduction in funding cost balanced lower yields.
Higher other income was offset by a rise in provisions while positive surprise on opex continues.
Collection efficiency improved to 82% in September 2020 compared to 76% in June 2020 (normal CE of approximately 87%) and of the 75% moratorium -1 customers, 70% have paid at least one to two instalments.
