Sector Overview
Banking:
According to media reports, corporate restructuring have been handful. However, we expect higher micro small and medium enterprises and retail restructuring. The banks have not yet reversed any of its Covid-19 provisions.
Asset Management Companies:
We except asset under management growth driven by increase in asset prices. As per the data by AMFI, AUM has grown 8% QoQ in the December quarter. In October and November, there has been a net inflow in mutual funds, however there is no growth in number of folios.
NBFCs:
We expect AUM growth to remain subdued on account of weakness in demand in new sales, shift in share to banks, and caution. Product-wise, home loans have outperformed other segments.
