Automobile dispatches expected to be a mixed bag in February 2021.
Tractor dispatches to be on strong footing (up 27% YoY) while two-wheeler numbers to be subdued due to weak domestic retail sales, offset by strong export.
Passenger Vehicles demand remains strong; however, production is affected due to shortage of semiconductors (barring Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.).
In PVs, retail sales continue to be in growth trajectory despite lower discounts due to need based buying behavior by customers.
However, wholesales volume for most of the original equipment manufacturers such as Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd. and Toyota to be affected due to acute shortage of semiconductors.
