Our interactions with leading channel partners indicate healthy pick up in enquiry level (up 13-15% YoY) for two-wheelers/passenger vehicles due to increased preference for personal mobility and pent up demand.
Commercial vehicle demand sentiments remained intact as gradual improvement was visible in both fleet utilisation rate as well as loan recovery rate.
This coupled with healthy demand from different segments (infra, agri and e-commerce) and aggressive commercial vehicle funding by financier’s should bring in more commercial vehicle demand by Q2 end.
On the other hand, expectations of normal monsoon, higher rabi sowing (up 3-4%) and steady financing, should improve tractors demand momentum in Q2.
