(Bloomberg) -- The U.K. economy performed little better last decade than in did during the 10 years that culminated in the financial crisis. The malaise is largely explained by dismal productivity growth and -- in recent years at least -- the uncertainty wrought by Brexit. But the problems were not unique to the Britain, with Group of Seven peers Japan, France and Italy posting even weaker growth.
