Romania Ranked Last Among EU Nations for Quality of Life

Romania has been ranked worst in the European Union for social well-being in a study by Deloitte in which Norway took first place. Despite unprecedented spending to raise pensions and wages, things like hospitals, schools and sanitation have been neglected. “To generate social progress, public funds must be be used for investments that generate economic development and lead to an increase in living standards,” said Alexandru Reff, Deloitte Country Manager for Romania.
