Pompeo to Raise Huawei Concerns on Hungary Visit, Official Says

(Bloomberg) -- Secretary of State Michael Pompeo will tell European allies that U.S. expects them not to abet rivals such as Chinese equipment supplier Huawei Technologies Co., according to a State Department official familiar with the plans.

Pompeo is scheduled to visit Hungary on Monday amid increased effort from the Trump administration to advocate for other providers of next-generation mobile gear due to allegations of espionage and sanctions busting by Huawei.
