(Bloomberg) -- About six in 10 Italians support the “European economic and monetary union with one single currency, the euro,” according to the latest Eurobarometer survey published on June 14. That’s the lowest level of public support among respondents in members of the currency bloc. Still, a majority of Italians back the euro, while the country’s populist government coalition has said it doesn’t plan to hold a referendum of the matter.
